The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team of friendly and hardworking individuals, delivering excellent patient care. The University Health Service is seeking experienced Medical Receptionists to become an integral part of a diverse team and contribute to the ongoing work and success of on campus health services.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing professional reception and administrative support services to the University Health Service (UHS), as well as aiding the University Health Service medical practitioners, registered nurses, counsellors and other allied health professionals. As the face of reception, you will not only be responsible for professionally receiving, processing and triaging patients attending the UHS but you will also contribute to the efficient operations of the University Health Services.

University Health Services (UHS) are located on each of the Monash campuses with the UHS reception team being the front line of the service providing a broad range of key administrative tasks.

As the successful candidate, you will be highly organised, empathetic, and an excellent communicator. Your previous experience working in a medical practice in an administrative and/or reception role and understanding the day to day workings of a medical practice will be a major asset in this role.

This is a fast-paced role, applicants must have high-level skills including verbal and written communication, listening skills, time management, task prioritisation whilst working independently and as part of the team. It would suit applicants who can manage multiple tasks with confidence.
