About the Role

We are seeking a Marketing Campaigns Coordinator to join our Campaigns Team within the Communications and Marketing Unit.

The Marketing Campaigns Coordinator is a marketing communications expert who provides consultancy and project management services for campaigns and projects that support the strategies and priority initiatives of the University, including its Academic Units, research entities (Institutes, Centres and Concentrations) and Administrative Units. You will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering marketing communications plans, approved projects and reports - including conducting relevant market research and analysis.

The Communications and Marketing Unit’s (CMK) role is to raise the profile of UniSA and enhance the understanding and recognition of its strengths and diversities; internally, externally and internationally among key target groups including staff, students, graduates, prospective students, government, media, business, professions, other educational bodies and the wider community. The Unit plays a critical role in contributing to the growth of the institution’s brand and profile, as well as delivery of the University strategic action plan.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead, and provide strategic input to, the planning and implementation of marketing communications campaigns and projects
  • Represent CMK with a range of internal stakeholders, providing expert advice using available data and knowledge of marketing best practice
  • Effectively manage relationships with the University’s media and creative agencies to deliver campaigns, projects and ad hoc ad placements on time and within budget
  • Provide expert, end-to-end coordination of corporate and cooperative campaigns and projects associated with a range of University initiatives, targeting both external and internal audiences
  • Lead collaborative planning, briefing and reporting processes with other CMK teams, particularly the Digital Marketing team and Academic Unit teams, as well as the broader University community
  • Work with partners including Digital Marketing, Future Student Enquiries, Business Intelligence and Planning, and our media agency to provide expert understanding and coordination of customer and campaign datasets. This includes the collection, high-level analysis and interpretation of data as it relates to marketing planning and reporting
  • Prepare detailed summaries and analyses of relevant customer and market analysis relating to University prospective clients and stakeholders


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in a comparable role
  • Demonstrated high level experience in developing and implementing integrated advertising campaigns for a wide range of audiences
  • High level interpersonal skills, including negotiation and oral and written communication skills, with the proven ability to successfully interact with senior levels of management and highly specialised professionals, both within and external to the University
  • Demonstrated experience in producing marketing materials with particular reference to digital advertising and integrated marketing campaigns
  • Demonstrated experience in analysing and interpreting data and statistics and preparing high level marketing analysis and reports
