Reporting to:
Marketing Manager (CareSearch)
Under routine to general direction, the Marketing Assistant (CareSearch) will support the Marketing Manager in developing and implementing marketing and communications activities for the CareSearch and palliAGED website.
The incumbent will manage newsletter production and subscribers and produce the Palliative Perspectives blog series written by community and clinical authors.
The incumbent will work closely with the Marketing Manager (CareSearch) and palliative care stakeholders, service providers and consumers.

Key Position Responsibilities

The Marketing Assistant (CareSearch) is accountable for:

  • Assisting in the delivery of marketing and communications activities.

  • Contributing to the monthly newsletters @CareSearch and palliAGED news.

  • Managing marketing enquiries and requests for promotional materials.

  • Assisting with social media activities.

  • Coordinating the production of blogs for Palliative Perspectives.

  • Assisting with the development and distribution of conference materials for CareSearch and palliAGED.

  • Preparing content for external newsletters and related promotional activities.

  • Some out of hours work (including weekends) as well as rural SA, interstate and overseas travel, may be required.

  • Any other responsibilities in line with the level of the position as assigned by the Supervisor and/or the University.

Key Position Capabilities

  • Completion of a Certificate IV with relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and /or education/training.

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to support projects, work collaboratively to prioritise workloads, problem solve and meet deadlines.

  • Well‐developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of staff, stakeholders and members of the public.

  • Well‐developed written and oral communication skills including experience with the preparation of marketing reports, activity summaries, newsletters and social media and developing and managing contacts databases.

  • Proficiency in using the full range of Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

  • Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the requirements of confidentiality and flexibility within a professional work team.

  • Familiarity with the health system (desirable)
