About the Role 

As the Marketing and Engagement Coordinator, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of the University’s strategic events and activations program to support Flinders’ new city campus - Festival Plaza marketing, communications and engagement strategy. This includes student recruitment related events and exhibitions aimed at prospective students and influencers, as well as engagement with industry and educational partners.

In this role you will also deliver Festival Plaza launch events and an activation plan for Festival Plaza 2024 to engage key stakeholders and create an active and vibrant vertical campus! Other responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring all events and engagement activity (online and face-to-face) capture lead data to enable the development of targeted nurture campaigns.

  • Working collaboratively across Colleges and Portfolios to ensure that events are conducted in accordance with University standards and protocols by providing accurate, on-time advice and support.

  • Preparing internal and external communications, including event related copy and content for a range of audiences, channels, and business requirements.

  • Maximising Flinders University digital and social communication channels to attract and build ongoing relationships with key audiences.

About You 

You will be an experienced marketing and events specialist, with well-developed organisational and time management skills to successfully plan and execute an exciting roster of Festival Plaza events and activations across 2023/24. Adaptability, initiative, and high-level communication skills will be the key to your success allowing you to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, through a variety of channels. 

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate:

  • Experience in undertaking event or marketing activities and/or relevant qualifications.

  • Knowledge of event and marketing planning and delivery processes and techniques to achieve required objectives within scope and budget.

  • Experience delivering face-to-face and online events with problem-solving capabilities.

  • Well-developed communications skills including digital copy targeting a range of audiences.

  • Experience in Marketo will be an advantage
