- Commencement Salary: $82,077 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
About the Role
As the Marketing and Communications Officer, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of a range of UniSA College marketing, communications, and outreach activities that support key objectives. In addition, you will coordinate a diverse range of events, publications and campaigns that inform potential secondary school, pathway, TAFE and mature age students about UniSA College’s academic programs and capabilities.
As a highly advanced communicator and proactive individual, you will work collaboratively with the UniSA Campaigns team, to coordinate the development, distribution and maintenance of relevant promotional information for prospective students and academic programs in print and digital forms, including supporting UniSA College involvement in relevant University wide advertising and other promotional campaigns.

About Communications and Marketing (CMK) & UniSA College
CMK’s role is to raise the profile of UniSA and enhance understanding and recognition of its strengths and diversities; internally, externally and internationally among key target groups including staff, students, graduates, prospective students, government, media, business, professions, other educational bodies and the wider community. The Unit plays a critical role in contributing to the growth of the institution’s brand and profile, as well as delivery of the University strategic action plan.
UniSA College (The College) is part of the UniSA Education Futures Academic Unit. It is responsible for the University’s pre-degree and pathway programs for Australian students and conducts a range of awareness raising activities aimed at students who, for a variety of factors, have not previously pursued university studies. The College implements the University’s Participation Strategy, aimed at increasing the number of students from a low socio-economic background enrolled in the University.
Core Responsibilities
- Under broad direction, develop an annual bill of work for UniSA College marketing, communications, and outreach activities that align to the University’s Communications and Marketing Framework, and CMK student recruitment plan
- Develop future student materials such as study guides, recruitment brochures and presentations, ensure website information is current and up to date
- Review, develop and deliver recruitment activities such as secondary school visits,
- Coordinate UniSA College’s participation in secondary school career evenings, outreach visits and education related expos and Open Days, produce specific materials and presentations for these events
Essential Skills and Experience
- Undergraduate qualifications in marketing, public relations, communications or related fields, or equivalent combination of demonstrated knowledge and skills
- Event management experience along with preparation and production of high quality promotional and information-based materials
- Proven experience in producing marketing or public relations plans targeted at specific audiences, with a particular reference to the youth market
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects within tight timelines
