About the role

The Manager: Workplace Transformation is a newly created role operating as a key member of the People, Talent and Culture Advisory Services portfolio. This position plays an important role in the delivery of the University’s people strategy by enabling constructive, industrially compliant workplace strategies and solutions to deliver transformative workplace initiatives by developing change management approaches, developing enabling policies and procedures and working closely with other People, Talent and Culture teams to achieve new value for the University.

As the Manager: Workplace Transformation, you lead a people-focused, strategic, and innovative team confidently collaborating with all levels of University staff to initiate and deliver evidence-based, people-centric change that advances the University’s strategic agenda.

About you

You will be a creative systems thinker, skilled in delivering outcomes that ensure people feel empowered and trusted. Your significant experience in driving transformational change in complex organisations means your approach successfully engages leaders and managers across the organisation, building lasting relationships which prosper a business partnering model that is efficient, effective and high quality in the advice and services delivered. To be successful in the position you will be able to demonstrate:

  • knowledge and experience of working successfully with change management principles, methodologies and tools and a solid understanding of how people respond to and engage with change
  • well-honed ability to collaboratively develop strategies and plans that clearly define required outcomes, coupled with demonstrated leadership impact that drives results
  • exceptional communication skills, able to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences, to use compelling narrative and evidence to influence others and motivate them toward a common vision or goal
  • project management experience and well-developed knowledge of project management approaches and tools and the phases of the project lifecycle, with a proven track record in adapting and responding to emerging and competing priorities
  • relevant tertiary qualifications, ideally at postgraduate level, in a discipline such as human resources, industrial relations, business or any other relevant field
