About the team  

Campus Management is responsible for planning, developing and managing the University’s campus and property portfolio to support teaching, research and campus life. Campus Management delivers a comprehensive range of University-wide services.

About the opportunity  

You will have a significant role in managing a substantial area and staff. You will develop and implement the campus plan and associated planning processes, precinct plans, and facilitating statutory planning approvals for property and construction projects. This will be in line with relevant Government agencies to meet the University’s objectives.

You are also responsible for the management of University property.  You will provide planning, advice and oversight of the endowment and University property portfolio. You will report and respond to enquiries regarding the University’s property and endowments, using expertise and judgement to independently analyse and solve problems. You will be required to provide information, analysis, and advice as part of the portfolio management for Campus Management.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency
  • Eligible for membership with the Planning Institute of Australia (preferable)
  • Substantial and extensive management experience
  • Substantial knowledge of planning legislation and development requirements in Western Australia including statutory planning and urban design (preferable)
  • Demonstrated experience in the submission of development proposals for statutory compliance (preferable)
  • Demonstrated ability to determine long term planning and key strategic direction
