About the Role 

The Manager: Research Marketing provides expert strategic advice on, and project leadership on marketing and communications supporting UniSA to meet its key research objectives for its 20 plus research centres. 

The position leads the Research Marketing team and works closely with team on project planning and delivery. The Manager advises the UniSA Media and Campaigns team on priority research areas and target markets to ensure that earned and paid media coverage nationally and internationally aligns with priority research areas and objectives. 

The successful candidate for the Manager: Research Marketing role will be an accomplished, data-driven marketing communications professional with a strategic mindset, along with a detailed understanding of marketing communications tactics across a range of channels. You’ll be a practiced stakeholder manager and an expert written and verbal communicator, able to clearly present technical concepts in plain language. Plus, you’ll be highly organised, analytical and comfortable operating in a complex, changing environment.

To be successful you will have

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, or a relevant discipline and/or equivalent demonstrable knowledge experience.
  • The ability to deliver high-level stakeholder engagement in a complex environment
  • Experience in team and budget management, including fostering effective working teams
  • Expert written and verbal communications skills including experience in writing and editing content, and presenting to and engaging with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret data and statistics, prepare reports and briefings to inform decision making
