Reporting to the Deputy Director: People Services, the Manager: Recruitment Central is responsible for a multi-disciplinary team delivering University wide recruitment across both our academic and professional staff cohorts, ensuring effective and efficient onboarding of staff with a prime focus on the candidate experience. You will drive the design and delivery of comprehensive talent attraction strategies and global recruitment campaigns for senior level and specialist roles across the University, working collaboratively with the Enterprise Leadership Team and partnering across People, Talent and Culture to achieve the best possible outcomes for the University.

As an experienced leader motivated to deliver service excellence and continuous improvement, you will provide strategic direction and guidance to the Recruitment Central team and the wider People, Talent and Culture Unit, through training in best practice recruitment and candidate care, induction, onboarding and career progression.

About you

You will be passionate about people and their potential through ‘people first’ recruitment and talent attraction. You will be someone who thrives in a complex and challenging environment and designing recruitment campaigns that develop new capability for an organisation.

Alongside your deep knowledge of contemporary recruitment and talent attraction strategies you will have proven experience in leading a multidisciplinary team within a large organisation and you will be able to demonstrate the highest level of business partnering skills as a trusted adviser. You will pride yourself on delivering a constructive and enabling candidate experience and you are confident of your ability to motivate and continuously develop a high performing team. You will have a natural affinity for people and be curious about their potential and are probably someone who people naturally gravitate towards to find solutions to people challenges.

To be successful in the position you will also have:

  • extensive knowledge of talent attraction, recruitment and human resource practices and a record of successfully applying this through the development and delivery of high quality, customer focussed people services and initiatives within a complex environment
  • high level written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaboratively engage with, lead and influence key stakeholders
  • relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources or related field with subsequent relevant experience, or extensive experience and specialist experience working in recruitment and human resources
