Within the International Portfolio, the International Business Operations (IBO) team is responsible for the development and management of the business operations and partnerships that support international student recruitment, in order to meet the University’s international load and income goals and other strategic priorities of ECU International Plan. The team works closely with external stakeholders such as education agents, expert service providers, pathway and articulation providers, government bodies and other international education partners. Internally, the team collaborates regularly with various stakeholders such as Schools, Student Administration, Brand and Marketing, Student Life and other key partners. 

The Role

Reporting to Dean – International Business Operations, this lynchpin role is a central driver of ECU’s sustainable international growth. An ideal candidate for this role is expected to possess the following attributes and experience: 

  • Strategic and holistic thinking with a forward-looking vision to elevate ECU’s international positioning.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with an ability to influence decisions.
  • Attention to detail, with an agile, risk-averse and solution-focused approach to changing and evolving business environment.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and insights to drive international strategy and direction.
  • Courageous mindset, with innovative out-of-the-box tactics to give ECU the competitive edge in the international markets.
  • Empathetic and encouraging approach to leading and mentoring a team.
  • Track-record of management roles, preferably in international student recruitment within the Higher Education sector.

Benefits & Remuneration

This full-time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $122,934 to $128,562 per annum plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
