The Manager, International Journeys is key to developing and delivering data-driven campaigns for prospective international students, tailored to their lifecycle stages and aligned with Deakin’s international recruitment goals. This role involves crafting personalised communications via email, SMS, WhatsApp, and phone calls to enhance the student journey and boost conversions. The Manager will use data and insights to identify gaps in the student experience and continuously create new iterations to improve business outcomes. A multi-channel approach is essential, ensuring that messages are delivered at the optimal time and through the most effective channels.
This role demands a deep understanding of advanced data-driven marketing techniques within the Marketing Division to deliver growth in applications to Deakin. We’re seeking someone with a solid background in Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, coupled with exceptional project management, leadership, and relationship-building abilities.
As the Manager, International Journeys, you will:
- Develop strategic omni-channel international prospective student journeys, using data and market insights and manage ad hoc and ongoing campaigns
- Identify and analyse international audience segments and channels to deliver targeted campaigns
- Establish systems and procedures to guide work and track progress and strive for excellence and continually evaluate progress and effectively overcomes barriers to achieve outcomes
- Use accepted theory and practices to develop and deploy continuous improvement actions to ensure implementation of continuous improvement strategies in own work area
- Use understanding of the client context to anticipate needs, tailor services, improve service offering and ensure a high-quality outcome by addressing client feedback and setting service standards for integrated lifecycle journeys and programs for lead generation, nurturing and conversion.
- Proactively create, establish and retain professional networks, mutually beneficial relationships and considers practical application and alignment within Deakin to inform and iterate prospective international student journeys
- Lead and manage a team to enable results, enhance capability and act as a coach and mentor
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training (marketing, IT, software development, or other related areas)
- Demonstrated experience in MarTech implementation and enablement
- Certification or equivalent experience in Salesforce CRM and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Experience in the application of digital technologies in a marketing environment and digital marketing campaigns
- Experience as a program or project manager of a digital, data or technology project
