Receiving broad direction and operating with a high overall degree of autonomy, the Manager, HR Partnerships & Advisory is responsible for the effective provision of HR services across the streams of HRM partnerships, HR Advisory and the HR Service Centre.

The role provides advice and solutions on a broad range of complex matters and is responsible for leading, mentoring and developing the following incumbents:

* HR Managers
* Senior HR Advisor Team Leader
* HR Service Centre Team Leader
* HR Advisory Officer

You will need to work in close collaboration with the Director, Organisational Development, the Manager, Workplace Relations and the Manager, HR Services to ensure an effective, multi-discipline HR service is achieved for the Faculties and Divisions across the University.

Reporting to the Director, HR Advisory & Workplace Relations your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive HR service excellence through establishing strong and effective networks across the University and externally to support the strategic and operational initiatives of the HR branch
  • Provide professional, senior level strategic and operational HR generalist advice
  • Act as an escalation point for escalated and unresolved HR matters
  • Lead the development of Workforce Planning and Talent Management practises
  • Support the successful delivery of major change initiatives
  • Support the integration and embedding of performance frameworks into the HR Advisory service model
  • Participate actively and collaboratively in HR Leadership meetings
  • Support University wide projects and initiatives

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading teams across multi-disciplinary HR functions
  • Experience driving a customer-centric HR service delivery model
  • Proven experience with embedding workforce planning practices and the development and delivery of OD initiatives
  • Experience supporting significant business change or transformation programs
  • Proven ability to drive the development and analysis of HR metrics, identification of trends and implementation of improvement opportunities
