The Manager, Employee Case Management is a critical contributor to the leadership group with a specific focus on the HR Advisory & Workplace Relations. The role is responsible for providing expert HR and employment relations expertise whilst also developing and implementing case management frameworks to help support and coach the HR team.
As the Manager, Employee Case Management you will play are key part in ensuring leaders are supported and educated for all employee and industrial relations matters.
Reporting to the Director, HR Advisory and Workplace Relations, responsibilities of this role include:
- Lead and develop an effective operating model for Employee Case Management which has a clear service and solutions focussed framework.
- Provide advice and support on interpretation and application on approaches to handling cases of underperformance, misconduct and serious misconduct
- Provide practical and expert advice on the management of cases that invoke an Enterprise Agreement process including formal staff grievances, unsatisfactory performance, misconduct and serious misconduct.
- Data reporting for internal committees and external agencies or regulatory authorities at State and Commonwealth levels.
- Deliver strategic leadership for the development and implementation of a contemporary and best practice case management framework.
- Analyse and assess the continued effectiveness of the HR Case Management framework by identifying opportunities for improvement
- Participate actively in the implementation of staff training materials developed in consultation with the organisational development team.
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Employee Relations, Human Resources or a related discipline is essential.
- Working knowledge and experience in the use of contemporary IR/HR practices.
- Demonstrated ability to provide timely expert advice and deal with confidential and sensitive matters of a complex nature
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with and advising on employment processes relating to performance and conduct.
- High level negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across areas and communicate effectively, including presenting to a diverse audience.
