Overview:


  • Full-Time, Ongoing Opportunity for a Manager, Digital Development 

  • Salary HEW 9 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements 

  • Based at the Melbourne City Campus but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University. 


 


About You 



The Manager, Digital Development is responsible for leading and managing the digital production team in the design and development of high-quality resources for academic programs and courses that ensure quality student experiences. The role is expected to support the development of resources for course enhancement and strategic program transformation initiatives that align with School, College and University priorities. The role will provide expert advice in digital resource development and work with members across the STEM College LTQ in cross-unit collaborative teams for undertaking projects.


 


 


To be successful in this position, you’ll have:


  • Demonstrated ability to lead a high performance creative and technical team, manage production workflows, inputs and outputs.  

  • Highly-developed interpersonal, relationship management and consulting skills  

  • Extensive experience in administering and supporting Learning Management System operations. 

  • Expert knowledge of the full range of digital media solutions available to produce engaging and effective education and training materials.  

  • Significant technical knowledge and/or skills in the production of digital media such as animation and video/film using appropriate applications and technologies, and industry standards  

  • Demonstrated skills in managing projects and providing regular reports and updates to various stakeholders and audiences.  

  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills, and communication and negotiation skills  

  • Demonstrated outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and work as part of a diverse team and liaise and negotiate with a range of people to achieve agreed outcomes and reconcile different views. 


Qualifications: 
Preferred postgraduate qualification in e-learning, digital media design, education or a related discipline with extensive relevant experience.

Digital Development 


  • Learning Management System (LMS) Support within the College 

  • Creation of digital learning resources  

  • On-location video and audio recording  

  • Editing of existing digital resources  

  • Photography, illustration and digital images  

  • Development of online interactive elements and animations  

  • Consultation and advice on the creation of digital learning resources to meet best practice pedagogical and educational technology standards 

  • Expertise and advice in the production of digital learning resources
