Overview
An outstanding leadership opportunity to shape a dynamic team working to deliver on the visions of an exciting university-wide comprehensive fundraising campaign at Edith Cowan University (ECU).

ECU is embarking on a transformational agenda that will challenge and redefine its ambition, positioning, delivery and leadership role in Western Australia and the broader international higher education market.

Reporting to the Director, Development and Alumni Relations, you will be responsible for leading a team with ambitious fundraising goals to secure major gifts for exciting initiatives across the entire University as we head towards a 2025 completion date for our new, world-class City Campus. You will inspire your team of fundraisers, analysts, and program coordinators to deliver on an exceptional internal and external customer service standard as we move to achieve our ambitious target that will set our University apart from the rest.

This career defining opportunity exists for an experienced, talented, customer focused manager not afraid to challenge traditional fundraising norms as we head into the largest capital raising campaign in ECU’s history. If you are a high energy, customer focused, goal-oriented person with a proven track-record in team management, then this is the opportunity for you. Prior fundraising experience is not essential.

The Office of Development and Alumni Relations is responsible for building the foundations of lifelong relationships between the University’s alumni, business, and the community. The Office comprises of two teams – Alumni Relations and Development. The Development team establishes and maintains relationships with donors and partners to ensure they understand the value and impact of their support.

The Manager, Campaign and Development role will suit an individual with demonstrated experience in managing, negotiating, and delivering high-level donations and developing high-value partnership proposals.

You will need demonstrated successful experience in engagement with and education of internal and external stakeholders to successfully deliver specific project outcomes within defined timelines.

This will be achieved through growing and managing existing corporate, individual and community partnerships, developing and securing new relationships, supporting the Development team in the professional delivery of ECU’s events and building key internal and external relationships. With touchpoints across ECU’s word-class research projects, schools, and other programs at the highest level, the role is varied and dynamic, with scope for creativity and the ability to be part of a contemporary and highly motivated team.

This role would suit a high-energy, motivated leader able to think creatively to achieve our fundraising targets. You are an organised, results-driven team player with demonstrated relationship management experience, exceptional communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects that involve budget, pipeline and CRM systems. These are essential skills for this role.
