Overview

The Finance and Business Services Centre (FBSC) plays the primary role in the strategic management of financial resources across the University. Our aim is to partner with our customers and provide them with superior services that deliver professional relationships, efficient processes and sound financial management to support the University’s objectives.

The Financial Services Team is part of FBSC and has the responsibility to meet key stakeholder and University’s strategic requirements through the provision of commercial and financial analysis, advice and recommendations to senior management and is responsible for Treasury, Taxation, Statutory Reporting and Financial Accounting activities for the University.

Under general direction of the Team Leader Management Reporting and Treasury Operations, this position is responsible for undertaking management of the University treasury portfolio, financial analysis, planning, financial reporting, and compliance management for internal and external stakeholders, which includes managing month-end and year-end financial processes, and financial management.

The ideal candidate will have: 

Qualifications: A degree in a relevant field (typically Commerce, Business or Management) majoring in accounting or finance and a professional postgraduate accounting qualification combined with relevant experience as detailed below:

  • Proven record of skills and experience in financial accounting and analysis and reporting with sound knowledge of financial management systems and advanced skills in Excel, data visualization and extraction.
  • Sound knowledge of broad business processes demonstrated through experience in a similar role.
  • Proven record of skills and experience in providing a range of business and financial management services in a complex work environment.

Benefits & Remuneration

This full time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $88,973 to $95,993 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
