Campus Management

  • Opportunity to be an integral member of the campus management maintenance department by leading the development and implementation of sustainable operational maturity in the maintenance planning space
  • Full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months.
  • Salary range: Level 8 $101,337 - $110,766 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

About the team  

Campus Management is responsible for planning, designing, developing and managing the University’s campus and property portfolio to support teaching, research and campus life. Campus Management delivers a range of University-wide services including strategic planning, property management, facilities operations, major projects and developments, sustainability, landscape, security and transport. 

About the opportunity  

You will provide key strategic planning advice and direction, in asset maintenance and renewals management. Your key task is to develop both short- and long-term maintenance plans for the maintenance team and coordinate maintenance service contractors, ensuring resourcing, plant and parts are arranged to allow the team and contractors to meet the service delivery and budgetary expectations for Campus Management and UWA.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency (maintenance planning, engineering or building qualifications preferred)
  • Substantial relevant experience in an asset management role within a complex environment across a large portfolio
  • Substantial experience managing buildings, infrastructure, major plant and equipment including, central plant chillers, cooling towers, vertical transport, electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and delivery of maintenance programs, renewal projects and asset replacement scheduling
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet, email and CAFM applications such as Maximo
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Australian Building Codes and Standards, Occupational Safety & Health, and service delivery
