  • Salary range: Level 2 $55,521 – $57,343 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

About the team

University Hall (UniHall) is the residential college owned and operated by The University of Western Australia (UWA). Over 750 UWA students from over 50 countries live, socialise and study at UniHall making it a fun and exciting collegial community. The University Hall Maintenance team manage and undertake maintenance activities to support student living.

About the opportunity

As the appointee you will provide a high level of physical and other support for the Maintenance Supervisor at University Hall. You will provide support and assist in the activities of contractors as required and agreed with the Supervisor. You will also assist with minor construction and maintenance tasks as directed.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Undertake minor building maintenance works and reactive maintenance requirements
  • Assist with quotations, orders, supply and delivery of building related equipment for maintenance related item as required and directed
  • Provide support and assist in the activities of contractors (access, OH&S and quality of work) engaged to undertake University Hall related building, maintenance and infrastructure work
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor and Facilities Manager to develop strategic planning for building maintenance programs and life cycle planning for asset management
  • Assist with maintaining and managing the maintenance planning schedule
  • Meet regularly with the Maintenance Supervisor and Facilities Manager to report status of maintenance program, budget and discuss progress and issues

About you

In line with the Western Australia COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination Programme the successful applicant for this position will be required to provide proof of their full COVID-19 vaccination status (or have a Vaccination Exemption Statement) before commencing work at UWA.
