About the Role 

An exciting opportunity has become available at Swinburne University for a MAGNET Platform Manager in the Centre for Mental Health!

The Platform Manager will work to support the research of senior staff within the Centre for Mental Health and will work with the Mental Health Australia General Clinical Trial Network (MAGNET). The Platform Manager will specifically be overseeing the six Platform resources of MAGNET. This role will be well suited to an individual with a track-record of supporting clinical research in the field of mental health.

With four direct reports, the platform manager will have expertise in a range of methodologies, such as project management, clinical trial methods, ethics and governance.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

  • Substantial project management experience  
  • Demonstrated expertise in research administration 
  • Demonstrated expertise in governance, legal and/or ethical issues in relation to health research 
  • An understanding of GCP and NHMRC research guidelines for clinical trials.
  • Experience in the field of mental health

Qualifications

  • An earned undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in an area related to research management and/or mental health research, which might include psychology, neuroscience or related field or business administration, law or related field
