The Lifecourse Research Co-ordinator is to support the further development of the Lifecourse Sciences Theme and Universal Prevention Stream within the Centre for Social and Early Emotional Development (SEED).

The position is 0.8 FTE and will require the successful candidate to work closely with the relevant Theme and Stream leaders to support research and engagement activities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the development of a Deakin University-wide Cohort Studies Platform in collaboration with Barwon Health, including engagement with the SHEBA federated data sharing and analysis platform.
  • Assist with the management of SEED/ARACY longitudinal studies network web directory of cohort studies in Australia and New Zealand, including migration of the Deakin server-systems and on-going maintenance.
  • Support and strengthen links with ARACY Longitudinal Studies Network by running regular webinars and hosting biannual national Master Classes.
  • Assist with the further integration of SEED cohort studies within the MCRI LifeCourse initiative, ensuring that the SEED cohorts are well represented and engaged within the state-wide MCRI network.
  • Assist with paper, grant and presentation preparations as required by SEED Lifecourse Science members
  • Contribute to theme/stream content on the SEED website to ensure that it is up to date.
  • Support the SEED Communications officer to develop SEED research briefings and other SEED related research stories.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • An equivalent combination of training and experience or a Graduate/Postgraduate qualification in psychology or another related field. ​
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects
  • Demonstrated administrative and research support skills
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate communications that are appropriate for their intended audience
