About the role

Contribute to students’ transition to University and the delivery of the Library’s frontline services to new and returning students.

You will respond to and provide accurate, timely advice and information to new, existing, and prospective students, staff, and visitors. You will also be expected to be the first-point of contact for all customers, interpreting and resolving queries and referring more complex enquiries to the relevant work areas.

About you

Working under the general supervision of the Library Services Supervisor, the successful appointee will possess a sound knowledge and understanding of a broad range of information relating to the student life cycle, including library services, and University services.

You will also possess demonstratable proactive customer service focus and the ability to communicate effectively to diverse stakeholders in addition to the ability to exercise initiative and complete taksks in a busy service-centered environment.

Your accountabilities will include:

  • timely and effective customer-service;
  • contribute to the ongoing operations of the team;
  • ensure delivery excellence of services and the availability of resources;
  • ensure accuracy of data-entry in the Library University Systems; and
  • process inter-library loans/document delivery requests from staff and students.

Directions from Victoria’s Chief Health Officer require all Victorian-based Federation University workers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless they are an Excepted Person as defined by the COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions.
