About the Library
The Flinders University Library is a pivotal resource, instrumental in supporting the achievement of the University's goals and mission. The team is dedicated to enabling equitable access to information, the library is critical to the University's learning and research endeavours.
About the Role
The Librarian (Patron Engagement) works collaboratively with the other Engagement teams to provide excellent customer service to scholars and key stakeholders. They also deliver on day-to-day operations of library spaces including a high standard of presentation. Supporting day-to-day operations, development of systems, contributing to digital, academic literacies and research support projects and initiatives.
This role delivers complex issue resolution, contributions to library committees including minute taking, report writing, scheduling and various administrative duties delivered in a timely manner. You will strive to deliver high quality virtual and physical services.
About You
The ideal candidate will also have completed a degree in the information science domain (e.g., Library Science, Information Records Management, Digital Literacy, Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital/eLearning, Digital Education; Vocational Education and Training, Business/Data Analytics), with relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
With your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you will maintain strong relationships, work collaboratively with various teams, and showcase your excellence in frontline customer service. Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of information sources, ability to search data and web-based products. Practice in producing marketing material in various formats and digital and academic literacy skills.
