  • Salary range: Level 6 $83,005 - $87,723 (pro rata) plus 17% superannuation

About the team  

The University Library provides information resources, services, systems and spaces to support, stimulate and innovate teaching, learning and research.  The University Library is committed to developing and delivering services to be strategic enablers for the University in meeting its goals; enabling and promoting the creation, storage, transfer and seamless access to information and collaborating closely with the University community to deliver innovative solutions for their research, teaching and learning needs.

Collection and Access Services is part of the Research and Collections section of the Library and provides collection services including acquisition, metadata, interlibrary loans, document delivery, reading list management and resource discovery.

About the opportunity  

You will optimise access to University collections in digital, electronic and print formats. You will be based in the Collection and Access Services section but may be required to contribute to programmes, services and projects for the Library as a whole.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency; a qualification in library and information studies is desirable
  • Recent relevant experience in a library environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the work performed in the acquisition and access management of information resources
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply, standard cataloguing and classification tools, (e.g. RDA  LCSH, DDC)
  • Highly developed Information and Communication Technology skills
  • Ability to solve problems and produce innovative solutions
