Overview

We are seeking an experienced lawyer to optimise ECU’s contractual and commercial arrangements and assist the University to comply with its obligations under Federal, State and subsidiary legislation. The provision of legal advice, drafting legal documents, representing the University at hearings as required, liaising with external specialist lawyers when necessary, and raising staff awareness of legal issues are all part of the role, as is working cooperatively to achieve positive outcomes for the University.

To be considered for this role you must have a current practising certificate for Western Australia and post-admission experience.  To be successful in the role you will also be an accomplished communicator, self-motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced, supportive environment on a wide range of legal matters.

You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Courage, Rational Inquiry and Personal Excellence.

Benefits & Remuneration

This full time position is based in Joondalup and attracts remuneration $111,152 to $125,191pa (HEW 8) plus 17% Superannuation.
