  • Salary: $74,385 - $99,759 pro rata per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role 

The Lecturer will coordinate the development and delivery of all activities within UniSA’s Invictus Pathway Program (IPP). The IPP provides valuable interdisciplinary learning experiences for students across several disciplines including exercise physiology, exercise science, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy. It is a world first student-delivered program that harnesses the power of exercise, sport and physical activity to inspire recovery and wellbeing from traumatic experiences among veterans and first responders. 

About UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance 

The UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance Academic Unit offers a wide range of degrees and conducts research in the fields of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, medical radiation sciences, medical sonography, speech pathology, clinical exercise physiology, exercise and nutrition, health sciences, public health, exercise and sport science, and human movement. 
 
Core Responsibilities  

  • Deliver and evaluate training and education programs in clinical supervision and education for the IPP program 
  • Facilitate student learning in a clinical setting 
  • Liaise closely with the Veterans’ Engagement and Education Project Officer to ensure smooth links between the programs 
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with other universities 
  • Actively seek and contribute to applications for internal and external grant and philanthropic funding opportunities 

Essential Skills and Experience 
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in a health or health related discipline together with professional accreditation with Exercise and Sports Australia (ESSA) 
  • Experience in the coordination of externally focussed programs, including overseeing supervision of students undertaking health-related placements 
  • Demonstrated experience in the planning, delivery and evaluation of community activities/programs 
  • Knowledge and experience working with Veterans and/or First Responders, those who have mental illness and/or have experienced trauma 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain positive and trusting relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
