The School of Economics, Finance and Property at Curtin Business School offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the areas of economics, banking and finance, and property.

Your new role

We are seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Teaching & Research) to commence by July 2020 and join our small, award winning property discipline. In this position, you will make a significant contribution to both teaching and research (through publications and research income). You will support/lead curriculum development and learning innovations and make major contributions to raising the research profile of the property discipline at Curtin University. Both the Australian Property Institute and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors accredit our property courses and we have very strong links with the local property industry. Property academics have been very successful in securing research funding from sources such as the Australian Research Council and the Australian Housing and Urban Research institute and we are looking for someone to increase research capacity in the areas of housing policy, housing economics and housing finance.


You will bring to the role
  • A doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • An emerging record of grant income success.
  • A strong publication profile across a range of different outputs including academic journals and industry reports.
  • A demonstrable ability to deliver high quality and innovative teaching in the area of property/real estate.
  • A proven ability to establish and grow effective links with all three sectors of the property industry (public, private and not for profit).
