Full time(negotiable) continuing at Camperdown Campus for medical practitioner with suitable specialist qualifications
This role is being advertised over level B and Level C for the suitable candidates. Level appointment based on qualifications and experience
Base Salary Level B $118,390 - $140,586 (pro-rata) or Level C $145,023 – $167,221 (pro-rata) + 17% superannuation plus Full Clinical Loading (pro-rata)

As the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer – Obstetrics and Gynaecology, in Sydney Medical School you will enhance the student experience in Perinatal and Women’s Health (PWH) in year 3 of the Sydney MD program at Central Clinical School affiliated with RPA hospital. You will contribute to the teaching of reproductive health across the MD program in Sydney Medical School and be willing and have the experience to supervise MD research projects. You will lead the ongoing development of up-to-date online resources and contribute the schools strategic goals in delivering this curriculum. You will develop your focus of research in women’s health and contribute to research excellence.

actively contribute to research, education and administrative activities of the discipline/faculty
contribute to a positive workplace culture within the school/faculty
contribute to the strategic direction of the university
engage and contribute beyond university.
About you
For Lecturer – Level B
hold a higher degree in relevant field (Masters degree, PhD or other higher qualification or experience).
hold a registration with APHRA as a medical practitioner, registered or eligible for registration in NSW
be a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists – RANZCOG
demonstrated understanding of and ability to support an academic endeavour from curriculum design to producing lead research and providing a student enabling environment
demonstrated experience in research methodology skills with the ability to prepare scientific papers for publication
demonstrated success in implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives with a clinical and patient care focus
proven deep and broad experience in teaching and learning, as evidenced by leading team teaching within an established program and experience in teaching in variety of settings
demonstrated excellence in research or scholarly activities relevant to educational design and practice.
For Senior Lecturer – Level C (In addition to the above)
have a PhD or other relevant higher qualification
demonstrated a developing knowledge and understanding of the key strategic issues in the higher education sector
proven understanding of and ability to lead, develop and support a full range of academic endeavours including teaching and learning and research
proven established network of relationships with key academic, industry and professional institutions, partners and stakeholders that can be leveraged to enhance the standing of the discipline, School/ Faculty and university
demonstrated significant experience in supervising others and coordinating team activities.
