  • Lecturer: Total Remuneration $126,364 to $149,350 pa (including salary of $106,780 to $126,203 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
  • Senior Lecturer: Total Remuneration $153,950 to $176,466 pa (including salary of $130,090 to $149,117 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

The School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences comprises four Colleges including the College of Health Sciences (CHS) which contains eight higher education disciplines and nine courses making it one of the largest in the School of Health Medical and Applied Sciences. The College offers Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 7 course in Allied Health, Chiropractic Science, Oral Health, and Exercise and Sport Sciences; Level 8 qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Speech Pathology; and Level 9 qualifications in Clinical Chiropractic. All of our courses are fully accredited with the relevant accreditation bodies, allowing graduates eligibility to register as health professionals on successful completion of their studies.

 

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to join our dynamic team. We are seeking applicants with the desire to teach and conduct research in biomechanics or motor control/motor learning, with preference given to candidates who have an experience in and a desire to primarily pursue research in sports performance, which will allow for seamless collaborations with existing staff and projects. You will develop engaging unit material, act as a unit coordinator, and deliver lectures, tutorials, and residential schools that foster critical thinking and industry ready skills. You will also be expected to supervise research higher-degree students, conduct and publish research, participate in professional activities, and contribute to administrative tasks. As a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Exercise & Sports Science you will contribute to teaching, research, and professional activities. Leading the delivery of foundation and profession-focused units across multiple campuses will be part of your responsibility.

Position Requirements

 

  • As a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer you have demonstrated tertiary teaching experience using blended learning approaches and possess a relevant doctoral qualification (PhD) or equivalent, particularly in biomechanics or motor control/ motor learning.
  • Demonstrated track record in research that aligns with relevant teaching duties.
  • Eligible for professional accreditation as an Exercise Scientist, Sports Scientist, or Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia.
  • Knowledge of current professional and educational issues and standards in higher education in Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate University students.
