  • Lecturer –$126,364 to $149,350 pa (including salary of $106,780 to $126,203 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading) or
  • Senior Lecturer – $153,950 to $176,466 pa (including salary of $130,090 to $149,117 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

We have an exciting opportunity available within our College of Science and Sustainability for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Emergency and Disaster Management to join our dynamic team.

 

Lecturer – Emergency and Disaster Management

As a Lecturer in Emergency and Disaster Management, your responsibilities will include delivering high-quality instruction through tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, field excursions, and workshops. You will develop engaging unit materials, act as a unit coordinator, and deliver lectures and seminars that foster critical thinking. Additionally, you will supervise students, conduct research projects, participate in professional activities, and contribute to administrative tasks.

 

Senior Lecturer – Emergency and Disaster Management

As a Senior Lecturer in Emergency and Disaster Management, you will play a major role in scholarship, research, and professional activities. Leading the delivery of foundation and profession-focused units across multiple campuses will be part of your responsibility. You will have a significant role in research projects, potentially leading a research team. Engaging in professional activities, administrative functions, and contributing to the strategic planning and committee work of the department will be vital.

Position Requirements

 

  • Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent in the discipline area, including a relevant doctoral qualification (PhD) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of current professional and educational issues and standards in higher education in Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate University students.
