Your new role

Your real work experience and knowledge will enable you to prepare students for life after graduation. Day to day this will include:

  • Contributing to curriculum innovation and design to develop students learning
  • Determining the learning needs of students and providing appropriate teaching and learning support to demonstrate the intended learning outcomes.
  • Conducting learning activities online, distributed or face-to-face as appropriate, which stimulate and foster student learning.
  • Supervising the program of study of honours students or postgraduate students engaged in coursework and HDR students, as appropriate.

Essential Criteria:

  • A doctoral qualification in relevant discipline (or substantial progress towards confirmation of a doctoral qualification, combined with considerable practice and experience).
  • Demonstrated expertise in innovative course design and delivery
  • A strong understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline.
  • A working knowledge of contemporary thinking, best practice approaches and scholarship in public relations.
  • An emerging record of contribution to scholarship in teaching.
  • Demonstrated experience/capacity to undertake unit coordination.
  • Team player with emerging/established industry networks

Work Requirements

Prior to appointment, the recommended applicant/s will need to have a current criminal record check in accordance with the University's National Police Certificate Assessment Procedures.
