About the Role
We have an opportunity for a Lecturer of Psychology to join Swinburne on a fixed term, part time basis. 

The Lecturer, Psychology will contribute to teaching in postgraduate clinical psychology and provide clinical supervision to postgraduate students in the Psychology Clinic. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and supporting sessional and other teaching staff to ensure a high-quality teaching experience for students and will also develop and manage industry partnerships and conduct research.

Our undergraduate psychology programs provide students with foundational skills and work integrated learning to undergo further training in psychology and/or research or enter the workforce with a Psychology degree. After successfully completing their course, students in the postgraduate clinical and/or forensic psychology courses are eligible for general psychologist registration in Australia, and to begin their registrar program for Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical and/or Forensic Psychology. 

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

•    Contribute to teaching in clinical psychology, including preparing and delivering seminars, tutorials, practical classes, and assessments.
•    Assist in the development of innovative teaching and learning methods, including online and other modern pedagogies in teaching and learning.
•    Contribute to course design and coordination.
•    Maintain the quality of the programs through program review and to meet industry and accreditation needs, educational requirements and quality standards.
•    Develop a network of contacts to support and contribute to the delivery and development of the programs.
•    Contribute to the research activities and output of the Department of Psychological Sciences.
•    Provide clinical supervision to postgraduate clinical psychology students to achieve
competencies in line with APAC accreditation standard and course objectives.

Qualifications
•    Registration with AHPRA with specialist endorsement in clinical psychology.
•    Psychology Board Australia approved clinical supervisor for higher degree trainees.
•    A Doctoral degree (PhD or DPsych) or a demonstrated case of equivalent research and advanced training in clinical psychology practice.
