The School is currently responsible for delivery of programs in six professional disciplines: Biomedical Science; Exercise Physiology; Exercise Science; Nutrition Science; Public Health; Psychology.

About the role:

As Lecturer in Psychology you will make a significant contribution to the academic and administrative activities of the National School of Behavioural and Health Sciences. Your key responsibilities will include the ongoing development and delivery of lecture, tutorial, seminar and laboratory content within the core units of programs in the Discipline of Psychology (in line with the School's national curricula; and contributing to excellence in teaching and learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, which may include research supervision of students in fourth year and/or postgraduate psychology programs.

More specifically the role entails:

  • Develop and maintain a lecture and tutorial/seminar/laboratory sequence for specified units in the undergraduate programs (and postgraduate programs where required).
  • Deliver excellence in learning and teaching, including the use of e-learning technologies.
  • A focus on Biological/Neurological Psychology and/or Learning and Behaviour would be advantageous (but is not essential).
  • Provide research supervision to Honours and/or Masters students.
  • Contribute to the School, Faculty, and University through professional service and community engagement.

  • Total remuneration valued to $129,839 - $153,201 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $109,716 - $129,539 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level B), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
