Exciting opportunity to join us in the Department of Psychological Sciences, teaching and leading our postgraduate students.
About the Job
We are looking for a passionate Lecturer in Psychology to join us in the Department of Psychological Sciences. In this role, you will contribute to teaching in postgraduate clinical psychology and provide clinical supervision to postgraduate students at the Psychology Clinic. The Lecturer in Psychology is also expected to develop and manage industry partnerships and conduct research.
Clinical Psychology at Swinburne is located within the Department of Psychological Sciences. We provide state-of-the-art postgraduate training at Masters and Doctoral levels. We also have a thriving Psychology Clinic, where our students complete their first two clinical placements providing telehealth, face-to-face and group psychological assessments, interventions and programs to the general public under the supervision of clinical psychologists. The discipline of psychology at Swinburne has been ranked as ERA 5 – ‘well above world standard’ in research performance.
This position is tenured and for a time fraction up to 1.0 FTE, depending on preference of the applicant, and a flexible job-share arrangement is possible.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Registration with AHPRA with specialist endorsement in clinical psychology.
• Psychology Board Australia approved clinical supervisor for higher degree trainees.
• A Doctoral degree (Ph.D or DPsych) or a demonstrated case of equivalent research and advanced training in clinical psychology practice
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member
• Demonstrated experience in teaching in a university setting including but not limited to small and large group, clinical psychology and research supervision.
