The Opportunity

Monash Rural Health at Churchill is seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (Practice) to be a key player in the clinical teaching effort and you will bring a wealth of expertise from your profession to the graduate entry BMedSc/MD program.

Join a dynamic team that values innovation and collaboration. Your impact will extend to initiating and developing subject material, facilitating small group teaching and learning in your area of expertise and fostering the personal, professional and academic development of medical students. You will also play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the medical profession and the School of Rural Health, ensuring a seamless integration of clinical practice environments into the curriculum. Take the lead in contributing to the MRHC research strategy, emphasising clinical education and provide pastoral care to students, demonstrating a commitment to their well-being.

We are seeking someone who holds advanced degrees in a discipline relevant to clinical medicine, is recognised in Australia, and possesses current medical registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Whether you bring a doctoral qualification or equivalent professional and clinical experience, your commitment to academic excellence is paramount as you will leverage your ability to inform curriculum and establish links between the School of Rural Health and clinical practice environments. Your proven leadership, passion for teaching and a solid record in quality teaching are what we're looking for.

Join us in the ongoing design, development, and evaluation of medical programs, contributing to the growth and profile of the School and we look forward to receiving your application.

The successful applicant will be appointed at either Level B or Level C, commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Please specify in your cover letter the level that you are applying for.
