The Opportunity

Monash Nursing and Midwifery is seeking to appoint three suitably qualified and motivated academics to join their world-class School to deliver education within our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. The positions are for Lecturers (Level B).

One of the largest schools for the education of nurses and midwives in Australia, Monash Nursing and Midwifery offers courses at two Monash campuses – Clayton and Peninsula. The school comprises more than 2000 students undertaking undergraduate and postgraduate courses using a range of delivery modes. Monash Nursing and Midwifery offers high-quality tertiary degrees in a vibrant and supportive learning environment to prepare students for a rewarding nursing career. Monash Nursing and Midwifery aims to build on existing capacity to lead innovative nursing curricula and modes of delivery.

Successful applicants will have:

  • A masters degree in nursing; and/or a doctoral qualification in nursing or equivalent accreditation and standing
  • Hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of units and programs of study in a higher education environment
  • Ability to work positively and cooperatively with students, internal and external teams and external organisations
  • Demonstrated experience in acute care, emergency nursing, rural health or trauma care
