About the school

The School of Engineering has a dedicated, award-winning team of teaching and research academics providing undergraduate and post-graduate programmes across multiple engineering disciplines, including biomedical, civil, environmental, mining, chemical, mechanical, electrical and electronic and automation and robotics. In research, the School also spans a wide range of engineering disciplines, with groups often comprising multi- and trans-disciplinary researchers who work with industry to produce solutions to a range of challenges within mining development and production, ocean engineering, agriculture, health, transport, energy, water supply and community development.

About the opportunities


As a Lecturer in Engineering you will contribute to the development and delivery of world-class innovative teaching in the degree programmes of the School at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will undertake independent and collaborative research that is synergistic with the existing research groups, and generate research output of high impact with international recognition.

In addition you will supervise undergraduate and postgrauduate research students, provide service to School and University operations, develop and exercise leadership in its affairs and provide service to the government, scholarly community and the broader public.

About you


  • PhD in Engineering or closely related field.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, and will bring diversity of thinking and decision-making to the School of Engineering.
  • Can demonstrate your ability to work collaboratively within a team.
