We seek candidates with strong grounding in general linguistics and second language acquisition theory, who have a strong track record in the area of the sociolinguistics of multilingualism, including but not limited to: heritage language learning/use, multilinguals’ language practices, sociolinguistic ethnography, conversation analysis and adjacent methods.

The Lecturer will undertake research supervision of PhD students; engage in original and innovative research (including, potentially, collaborative research), participate in grant applications, and engage in various administrative tasks within the Linguistics program and School.

The successful applicant will have a doctoral qualification in linguistics or a related discipline with a focus on the sociolinguistics of multilingualism, as well as demonstrated analytical and manuscript preparation skills; including developing a solid track record of refereed research publications.
