An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Academic to perform assigned teaching duties within our online criminology courses (the Bachelor of Criminology and the Bachelor of Science (Criminology and Psychology)) and to make contributions to the teaching, research and engagement efforts of the College.  Take your place alongside both field and education experts and be provided with access to the latest industry trends and technology to assist with developing our future.

Position Requirements

 

  • Relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent in the discipline area (Criminology/Criminal Justice, Social Sciences or similar justice discipline).
  • Teaching experience in the area of Indigenous criminology or a closely related field.
  • Ability to teach into one or more of these areas: crimes of the powerful, case management, theories of justice, crime & the media, criminology-based work integrated learning.
  • Ability to mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students through flexible modes of delivery.
  • Experience developing curriculum and unit materials including self-paced study guides and interactive learning activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in research areas of research strength and a willingness to engage in sourcing and obtaining external grants and contracts.  Desirable areas of research focus include family violence, international criminology and access to justice.
  • You will be expected to hold vaccinations in relation to the COVID-19 immunisation should your CQUniversity role require you to attend any setting / venue / event where there is a specific entry requirement for you to hold these vaccinations, as per relevant State Government directives.
