Continuing, part-time (0.6FTE) position commencing January 2022.

The Adelaide Dental School invites applications for a Lecturer in Population Oral Health.

This is a teaching focused position and you will need to be able to demonstrate that you have a strong background and experience in undergraduate teaching in Population Oral Health for dental and oral health students. This position has a focus on innovative teaching methodology in Population Oral Health and development and oversight of Population Oral Health curriculum across all year levels of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery Program.

Further activities will include a focus on student support and collaboration with other academic staff in organisational activities within the school, the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences and the broader University.

In addition, you will oversee and guide the implementation of key strategies to support the Adelaide Dental School in upholding the academic quality and integrity of its teaching program, offering an opportunity for those who seek to positively influence the next generation of dentists and oral health therapists.

To be successful you will need:

  • A PhD qualification in a relevant area.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in the preparation and delivery of lectures, tutorials, demonstrations and workshops; as well as marking and assessment activities; and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
  • Experience in course coordination and the management of teaching and learning resources and staffing.
  • Experience in the development of innovative teaching methods and curriculum.
  • A record of peer-reviewed publications at a national and international level.
