About the Role
The Lecturer in Mental Health & Wellbeing will produce quality research and deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching in the area of Mental Health & Wellbeing. This role requires high-level skills inclusive of the Active Communities and Social Impact Program and expertise in mental health and well being in the workplace and community, as well as providing key expertise for undergraduate psychology in pre-professional skills essential for the 3rd and 4th year programs.
Some of the key position responsibilities of this critical position include:
Contributing to the organisation, planning, delivery, and evaluation of teaching primarily within the suite of undergraduate and/or postgraduate topics/courses in the area of wellbeing and mental health, through topic coordination, online teaching, delivery of lectures, tutorials, laboratories, placements or other contemporary teaching strategies.
Supervising research students at the Honours and Research Higher Degree level.
Developing and maintaining strategic relationships and networks with a range of stakeholders including industry, government, and community organisations.
Some out of hours work (including weekends) as well as rural SA, interstate and overseas travel, may be required.
About You
AS the successful candidate, you are a passionate professional in the field of Mental Health & Wellbeing (workplace and community). You are an excellent communicator in all formats, particularly in your ability to establish relationships with students, staff, and industry partners, as well as being experienced in online teaching. You have also acquired a PhD in the relevant area.
Some of the key position responsibilities of the role are:
Demonstrated evidence of a strong research track record (for career stage) in an area aligned with research strengths in the Flinders Institute of Mental Health and Wellbeing and the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work including evidence of quality publications and capacity to attract external competitive grants.
Demonstrated capacity to develop work integrated learning (WIL) opportunities for students and to integrate WIL within curriculum.
Demonstrated capacity to contribute to the supervision of honours and/or Higher Degree Research Students in psychology in particular.
