About the Role
Be at the forefront of learning intervention in Australia with evidence of a growing international profile and commitment to both tertiary teaching and research. Make effective contributions to teaching and learning, engagement, leadership and service within the Learning Intervention Team, which is part of the Learning Intervention Academic Group.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Making significant contributions to the leadership, design, coordination and implementation of innovative and distinguished education programs
- Provide teaching expertise in the Master of Learning Intervention, Graduate Certificate of Education (Learning Difficulties), and Master of Teaching subjects in inclusive education
- Contribute to professional development, placement supervision and custom education programs in learning difficulties and disability
- Advance a program of innovative and significant research related to the scholarship of teaching and/or inclusive education.
Who We Are Looking For
We are in search of an education professional who brings a diverse skill set to the table. This includes recent and effective teaching experience across various school settings, expertise in evidence-based learning interventions for students with learning difficulties and disabilities, research activity and outputs in the area of inclusive education, and a keen ability to plan and deliver curriculum related to learning interventions. Additionally, the candidate should excel in higher education teaching, both in traditional and online formats, and be prepared to take on coordination responsibilities for subjects and courses, as well as supervise placement experiences when required.
You will also have:
- A doctoral degree in education or in a related discipline area and an established track record of research publications in inclusive education, learning difficulties or disability.
- Demonstrated successful experience supervising research higher degree students;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work in teams.

This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone.
