About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your experience as a secondary educator to develop, co-ordinate and teach initial teacher education and Learning Intervention subjects about diversity, disability and inclusion. You will make effective contributions to teaching, learning, engagement, leadership, the scholarship of teaching, and service within the Learning Intervention Team. The successful applicant will be familiar with current developments and debates relating to supporting all learners in secondary settings and other educational contexts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support subject contextualisation and ensure the development of workshop activities suitable for teacher candidates
  • Teach into the Master of Teaching and Master of Learning Intervention courses
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in academic groups within the MGSE
  • Contribute to key scholarly projects undertaken by the Learning Intervention Team nationally and internationally

About You

As a confident and skilled communicator, you will be responsible for stimulating positive student learning experiences through your ability to share information in an easy-to-understand format that engages students. As a keen problem solver, your strong analytical thinking skills and solution-orientated mindset will assist you in balancing the demands of teaching, leadership, and community engagement.

You will also have:

  • Master’s degree in education, or in a related discipline area, and extensive professional experience in secondary schools and/or other educational settings
  • High-degree of productivity and independence under minimum supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and stimulate positive student learning experiences
  • Experience in online learning and engaging students with innovative learning environments
