About the Role
The position of Lecturer involves working in a small team within the Government discipline, performing teaching and teaching related duties in the fields of Public Policy, Public Administration or Public Leadership including the creation, delivery, and continuous quality improvement of university-level education.
The Lecturer will make an independent contribution to the review, renewal, development and design of curricula and courses that are attractive to existing and new cohorts of students, advancing learning technologies and learning analytics.
This role also requires:
Developing enterprising graduates equipped with the skills required for success in the knowledge economy.
An independent contribution to maintaining internal and external compliance and accreditation of courses.
Effective use of innovations and technologies in teaching practice.
Maintain professional knowledge relevant to teaching within their discipline through scholarship and professional development.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. You can establish effective relationships, with staff, students and industry including cross-cultural communication and liaising with and/or teaching international students.
You will have sustained evidence of enhancing success for students including enhancing their retention and initiatives to facilitate their employability.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
Evidence of making an independent contribution to teaching and the scholarship of teaching in the following areas: Public Policy; Public Administration and Management and/or Public Leadership.
The ability to engage with e-learning platforms related to teaching and learning.
Evidence of peer review of teaching and commitment to professional development in teaching.
Experience in topic coordination.
Engaging with a relevant external professional domain or public sector context at local, national or international level.
Completion of a PhD, or equivalent qualification in a relevant field or depth of experience in public sector management at a senior level.
