Contribute to our ITE programs in South Australia and support our teaching, research and students.
We are a new world university. Like our namesake, Charles Darwin, we think differently. We innovate, embrace change, challenge conventions and look for better ways. We’re not about tradition or legacy, privilege or exclusivity. We care about people as individuals, and about our wider society. We’re about what we can give to the world, rather than what we take. We cannot build a new world without diversity of thought, so we bring together people with unique perspectives in an inclusive and supporting learning environment to help them connect, discover and grow. This is the CDU difference.
The College of Education delivers teaching and research in education, foundation programs and academic language and literacy. Our foundation programs provide students with the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to succeed at university, and our education programs enable students to specialise in early childhood, primary, secondary and tertiary education and training. Education graduates teach in childcare facilities, pre-schools, and primary, middle and high schools, as well as in industrial, commercial and community education.
As Lecturer in Education, you’ll contribute to building the teaching profile, research capabilities and professional practice of the College of Education. You will develop and teach course units, utilising both on-campus and flexible-mode of teaching and learning support, and engage in scholarly work that informs teaching and learning in diverse educational contexts.
To be successful you require a nationally recognised teaching qualification with eligibility for teacher registration in the NT and a doctoral level qualification (or current enrolment and substantial progress to completion) in Education or a related field. You will have a proven ability to teach specialisms in one or more of the primary and/or secondary curriculum areas and the ability to teach in internal and distance education modes, including through online platforms.
