  • Commencement Salary: $109,074 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role

You will develop, deliver and coordinate courses within UniSA Business's undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the area of Economics. You will also contribute to program and course curriculum and continuous improvement in teaching practice across the Academic Unit.

You will contribute independently and as part of a team to support the UniSA Business’s teaching and scholarship outcomes and will carry out activities to maintain and develop your scholarly and/or professional activities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate and deliver courses on campus, offshore, online or via other appropriate methods. This includes:
    • Maintaining the quality of the courses through course review and development (i.e. course materials and teaching methods) to meet industry / organisational needs, workplace safety standards, educational requirements and quality standards
    • Coordinating the timely teaching of courses including preparing and delivering lectures, seminars, workshops and tutorials, facilitating online learning, assessment development and marking
  • Contribute to scholarly activity, independently and/or as a member of a team, which enhances scholarly teaching practice and maintains currency with the discipline/profession
  • Support the Academic Unit’s and University’s teaching and learning initiatives in ways that will enhance the student experience and ensure UniSA graduates are the preferred employees of their field
  • Create, foster and enhance links with relevant business, university and community bodies that assist the advancement of University and Academic Unit objectives

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Relevant doctoral degree/studies or a postgraduate qualification (at least one level higher than the program taught) and professional experience
  • Skills in contemporary teaching, learning and assessment with a demonstrated ability to undertake teaching duties including the design and preparation of teaching activities and resources
  • Current and relevant knowledge of developments in the discipline informed by continuing scholarship and/or continuing industry engagement
  • High level written and oral communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with team members, external parties and colleagues
  • Demonstrated competence in using the necessary digital techniques required for effective curriculum delivery
