About the Role

As the Lecturer in Digital Media, you will be a key contributor to the planning and delivery of topics within the suite of undergraduate and/or postgraduate topics in Digital Media within the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences. You will contribute to the development of teaching materials, delivery of lectures/tutorials or other innovative teaching and learning strategies that enhance the student experience.

You will develop and maintain strategic relationships with industry and strength the College’s existing partnerships to provide improved teaching, learning and research outcomes for the University.

You will also contribute to high quality and innovative research and evaluation through activities such as scholarship, quality publication, external grant acquisition and the supervision of student research programs. You will coordinate and monitor workflow and provide informal day‐to-day feedback to research support staff and casual academic teaching staff according to the University’s policies, practices, and standards.

About You

You will bring a collegial, collaborative, and supportive work ethic and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to develop, establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, students, and industry.

You will demonstrate practice in a discipline of Digital Media, such as Animation, Illustration, Game Design, and/or Visual Effects and a strong research track record in an area of focus for the College, including evidence of quality publications and the attraction of competitive grants.

To be successful in this role you will have a PhD or equivalent qualification in a related discipline with demonstrated evidence of successful teaching experience at a tertiary level. This includes an individual contribution to the development, delivery and evaluation of teaching strategies, and an understanding of curriculum reviews.
