This Lecturer in Criminology opportunity is a balanced research and teaching position – the area of research specialisation is open.
The successful candidate will have experience in designing and delivering Criminology courses, using innovative teaching methods. The successful candidate will also tender a track record of high-quality research outputs in Criminology, relative to opportunity.
The School of Social Sciences comprises five Departments: Anthropology and Development Studies; Asian Studies; Geography, Environment and Population; Politics and International Relations; and Sociology, Criminology and Gender Studies. Combining a vibrant and innovative teaching environment with a strong research culture, the School offers an intellectually stimulating environment in which to work.
To be successful you will need:
- A PhD in Criminology or related area.
- A record of high quality research outputs in Criminology, including publications, commensurate to opportunity. While the area of research specialisation is open, we particularly welcome applicants with a track record in cybercrime or digital criminology.
- Demonstrated experience and success in teaching Criminology at an undergraduate level, supported with evidence.
- Ability to design and deliver new courses in Criminology.
- Demonstrated experience using innovative teaching and learning methods (including blended learning), which are consistent with, and are evaluated against course learning outcomes.
