About the Role 

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences is seeking a passionate tertiary educator with experience in Clinical Rehabilitation as a health professional and confidence in research methods to join our academic staff as a Lecturer in Clinical Rehabilitation! You will join our inter-disciplinary teaching team of experienced clinicians and active researchers to develop career-ready and enterprising graduates who will address the concerns of the Australian and global health sector.

As the Lecturer in Clinical Rehabilitation, you will contribute to excellence in teaching and learning within the suite of Clinical Rehabilitation post-graduate topics. You will undertake a lead role in the development and evaluation of curricula and courses, while delivering innovative teaching. Specifically, you will be required to utilise your comprehensive understanding of research methods to contribute to postgraduate research teaching and research project support. You will also make an independent contribution to maintaining internal course accreditation processes.

About You 

You will be a leader in tertiary educational innovation, with a richly interactive and personalised approach to teaching and learning. With your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you will maintain strong relationships with a range of diverse staff, students, and industry stakeholders. Your natural ability to collaborate and engage with stakeholders will develop productive partnerships that can provide opportunities for students to increase their employability within the sector. Your keen attention to detail will allow you to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, while always demonstrating a commitment to high quality service delivery.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Completed a PhD or EdD or equivalent qualification in a relevant health related area.
  • Demonstrated evidence of excellence in teaching performance at a tertiary level.
  • Extensive experience in the multi-disciplinary care of those with neurological conditions, and a comprehensive understanding of related evidence-based medical and therapeutic treatment approaches (desirable).
