About the Role
If you are an AHPRA registered Physiotherapist with contemporary clinical experience in neurophysiotherapy, we invite you to make a difference as a Lecturer in Clinical Rehabilitation at Flinders University – ranked in the top 2% of universities in the world! You will join our inter-disciplinary teaching team of experienced clinicians and active researchers to develop career-ready and enterprising graduates who will address the concerns of the Australian and global health sector.
As the Lecturer in Clinical Rehabilitation, you will contribute to excellence in teaching and learning across the suite of Clinical Rehabilitation topics in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, specifically those within the postgraduate neurophysiotherapy specialisation. You will undertake a lead role in the planning and evaluation of teaching and learning through the development and delivery of lectures and tutorials for topics within the field of Clinical Rehabilitation. You will make an independent contribution to the review, renewal, development and design of curricula and courses, including short courses, that are attractive to existing and new cohorts of students.
You will also be expected to concurrently engage in practice within the field of Clinical Rehabilitation to ensure teaching is in step with contemporary practice, knowledge, and skills. Your concurrent engagement in practice will support the strengthening of new and existing partnerships with external stakeholders that have the potential for providing improved teaching, learning and/or research outcomes for the University.
You will be an AHPRA registered Physiotherapist with extensive contemporary experience in Physiotherapy, specifically neurophysiotherapy, and a strong track record of teaching excellence at a tertiary level. With your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you will maintain strong relationships with a range of diverse staff, students, and industry stakeholders. Your natural ability to collaborate and engage with stakeholders will develop productive partnerships that can provide opportunities for students and promote graduate employability. Your keen attention to detail will allow you to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, while always demonstrating a commitment to high quality service delivery.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
A Doctorate in a relevant field or equivalent clinical experience and professional standing in Physiotherapy, specifically neurophysiotherapy.
Unconditional registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA.
Relevant and contemporary clinical experience in neurophysiotherapy that will be maintained concurrently within or outside of this position.
Evidence of excellence in teaching performance at a tertiary level, inclusive of simulation and/or clinical setting.
