  • Part-time (0.6 FTE), fixed-term twelve (12) month contract based in UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance at the City East campus
  • Commencement Salary: $96,929 pro rata per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

This Lecturer in Clinical Exercise Physiology/Exercise Science is primarily focussed on the preparation and delivery of teaching and associated administrative duties within the Academic Unit’s undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs. You will work with guidance and direction from other academic staff and undertake duties with increasing autonomy as you gain skills and experience.  


As the Lecturer in Clinical Exercise Physiology /Exercise Science, you will utilise contemporary professional/discipline-related knowledge in your teaching practice and carry out activities to develop your scholarly expertise.

  • Prepare and conduct learning activities including lectures, tutorials, assessments and provide timely feedback to students, as well as coordinate the delivery of undergraduate courses 
  • Use a variety of pedagogical techniques including face-to-face, online and blended learning
  • Undertake high quality teaching as part of the teaching team, including participation in moderation of marking exercises and supervision of students on clinical placement 
  • Act as a student advisor by responding promptly to queries and directing students to appropriate supports/services 
  • Undertake developmental activities to advance knowledge of effective discipline-specific pedagogical practices 

Essential Skills and Experience  

  • Undergraduate qualification, together with relevant industry/discipline experience, in Exercise and Sport Science, Human Movement and/or Clinical Exercise Physiology 
  • Professional accreditation with Exercise and Sports Australia (ESSA) or eligibility for accreditation 
  • Ability to undertake a range of teaching duties including course coordination and the preparation of appropriate teaching materials and resources 
  • Demonstrated ability to actively engage and educate a student group 
  • Have a passion for teaching and a commitment to continual development and improving performance
